About my work
My practice focuses primarily on figurative sculpture. Throughout this time, my work has evolved from a curiosity about the medium - to a vehicle for satire and ultimately to a means of expressing empathy.
The aim within my art practice is to create a caricature figure of a lost soul who’s life has past him by. The figures also blur the line of vulgar and uncomfortable to sad and pathetic.

About the artist
Jules is a practising artist and art educator whose work explores contemporary themes and promotes accessibility within the art world. He has produced and curated multiple exhibitions across South London, contributing to a vibrant local art scene and supporting the development of emerging London-based artists.
Alongside his artistic practice, Jules works at a local school, where he is committed to challenging the gatekeeping that often surrounds contemporary art and culture.
Jules’ work is deeply personal yet grounded in contemporary theory, drawing inspiration from thinkers such as Mark Fisher, Hito Steyerl, and Simon Reynolds. His practice engages with ideas of postmodernism, crisis, haunting, and melancholy—often approached with a light-hearted, playful touch.
